Recent forecasts from NWS and private models indicate Dallas highs on September 3, 2026, likely in the upper 80s to low 90s as increased Gulf moisture and a passing tropical disturbance boost cloud cover and shower chances to 30–60 percent. These conditions limit surface heating compared with the recent hot, mostly sunny pattern that produced upper-90s readings earlier in the week. Dew points near 72–74 °F will raise humidity and heat-index values, while variable south-southeast winds and scattered convection further cap afternoon peaks. Model consensus centers on 89–94 °F, with the tightest clustering around 90–91 °F explaining the market’s leading bin; drier or clearer scenarios could push readings into the low 90s, whereas earlier or heavier rain would favor the 88–89 °F range. Updated NWS guidance and afternoon model runs will refine these thresholds ahead of resolution.
