Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models show San Francisco overnight lows settling in the upper 50s on September 3 amid overcast skies, light drizzle from a weak cold front, and marine layer influence, supporting the market's leading 58-59°F outcome. These conditions limit radiational cooling compared to clearer nights, while historical September averages near 56°F provide context for why traders assign meaningful probability to 49°F or below if marine stratus thins more than expected. Key resolution factors include official downtown observations, with next model runs and evening updates likely to refine the range.
