Persistent humid conditions and widespread thunderstorm activity over South Florida are anchoring trader expectations for Miami's September 5 overnight low near 78–81 °F. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble forecasts indicate southeast flow at 5–10 mph, dew points holding in the upper 70s, and extensive cloud cover that limits radiational cooling under the subtropical ridge. These factors suppress the typical diurnal drop, keeping minimum temperatures close to the September climatological average of 77 °F while reducing the probability of readings below 76 °F. With the 24-hour forecast window now under 48 hours, fresh model runs and NHC updates on any tropical moisture surge remain the key variables that could shift the narrow 78–81 °F consensus.
