Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs point to an overnight low in the low-to-mid 60s for Chicago on September 10, driven by post-frontal northerly flow, clearing skies, and light winds that favor moderate radiational cooling after daytime highs near 75°F. This places the daily minimum near the long-term September 10 average of 61°F while leaving room for small forecast adjustments from lingering moisture or wind shifts. With leading market outcomes clustered around the 57–76°F thresholds at roughly equal implied probabilities, traders appear to be pricing residual uncertainty in the precise minimum rather than a strong directional bias, consistent with typical short-range temperature variability this time of year.
