Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models project overnight lows in Denver on August 31 in the mid-50s to low-60s, aligning with the closely matched market-implied odds around 55–63°F. Key differentiating factors include variable cloud cover and a 40–50% chance of showers or thunderstorms, which limit radiational cooling under clear skies while higher dew points near 50–55°F moderate temperature drops. Light winds and typical late-summer atmospheric patterns add uncertainty, with historical averages near 55°F providing baseline context but recent model runs showing slight upward revisions. Traders weigh these elements against the narrow timing window before resolution, as new forecast updates could shift probabilities toward cooler or milder outcomes.
