Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs hold nearly identical market-implied odds near 48% for lead underwriter on Anthropic’s IPO, reflecting their joint selection as top bookrunners in June 2026 with the decisive “lead left” slot still undecided. Both banks command dominant tech-IPO market share and possess deep relationships with the AI firm’s institutional investors, creating a tight contest where allocation power and prestige hinge on the final designation. Recent revenue growth exceeding 14-fold in the second quarter has accelerated the timeline, heightening competition while JPMorgan and others remain marginal long shots. Traders are pricing in the wisdom of crowds around comparable megadeals like SpaceX, where lead positioning directly influences fee multiples and investor access.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
