Raphael Collignon enters this ATP Challenger Bordeaux semifinal on red clay as the in-form player, having captured his last eight matches with dominant results at the Challenger level, where he owns a 114-33 career record on the surface. Tallon Griekspoor, ranked No. 31, has shown signs of recovery with straight-sets wins over Alex Molcan and Benjamin Bonzi in the tournament but carries a mixed clay-court record this season after early exits in Rome and Madrid. The pair has never met, leaving recent momentum and surface preference as the clearest differentiators. Collignon’s heavy serve and baseline consistency have translated well to clay, while Griekspoor will look to leverage his ATP experience and stronger grass-court pedigree if the match extends. Any fatigue from the short turnaround could also influence the outcome on the slower court.
