Cobolli and Shelton bring strong recent singles momentum into this grass-court doubles opener, with Shelton capturing the Munich title just weeks earlier after defeating Cobolli in the final. Their powerful serving and athletic baseline games align well with Halle’s fast surfaces ahead of Wimbledon, though limited prior doubles experience together creates some uncertainty around chemistry and net play. Seeded third, Pavlasek and Vavassori counter with proven doubles pedigree, including Vavassori’s consistent ATP-level results and recent pairings with established partners. Recent form, surface preferences, and the pair’s established teamwork shape trader views on this Round of 16 matchup.
