Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos, the top seeds and a top-10 doubles pair, enter the Valencia Challenger semifinal on outdoor red clay with strong recent momentum after straight-set quarterfinal and round-of-16 victories. Their consistent baseline returns and net play have suited the slow surface, where they have compiled an undefeated run in the event so far. Facing them are third-seeded Sander Arends and David Pel, who advanced with efficient wins over Spanish and Czech teams and rely on serve-volley tactics plus extensive European Challenger experience. Neither pairing reports injuries or roster changes, leaving the outcome to hinge on execution in a best-of-three-sets format that rewards steady point construction over aggressive serving.
