In the Zagreb Challenger second-round matchup on outdoor clay, No. 163 Zsombor Piros enters with substantial advantages over No. 765 Josip Simundza, driven by superior ranking, experience, and recent clay-court form (8-5 in 2026). Piros rallied from a set deficit to defeat Jonas Forejtek 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 in the first round, extending momentum from his Madrid Challenger title in early April. Simundza, a 21-year-old Croatian drawing home-crowd support, advanced via Alvaro Guillen Meza's retirement (6-2, 3-4) but enters 2-5 on clay this year amid mostly ITF-level results. No head-to-head exists; trader consensus favors Piros' consistency, though upsets remain possible in Challenger play.
