Recent model consensus from sources like the GFS and ECMWF points to southerly winds and building high pressure favoring a warm Sunday in London, with afternoon highs most likely reaching 25–26°C under partly cloudy skies. This aligns with the market's heaviest weighting on those outcomes, as current runs show limited cloud cover and light winds that should allow strong insolation without significant cooling from showers. Historical September averages near 21°C and recent analogs underscore the role of this transient warm advection in elevating probabilities above seasonal norms. Traders monitor subsequent model updates and Met Office guidance for any shifts in the thermal ridge or boundary layer moisture that could cap or boost the daily maximum.
