Latest National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Seattle on September 6 points to overnight lows in the low to mid-50s, supporting the market's tight clustering around 52-55°F outcomes. Radiational cooling under partly cloudy to clearing skies, combined with light northerly flow and moderating marine air from Puget Sound, favors minimum temperatures near the seasonal average of 54.6°F. Key variables differentiating the 50-51°F versus 54-55°F bins include model spread on nocturnal cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing, with drier high-pressure influence potentially allowing slightly stronger cooling. Updated NWS forecast discussions and 00Z/12Z model runs over the next 48 hours will refine these probabilities ahead of resolution.
