Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent late-summer warmth and elevated dew points kept overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 70s across Dallas on September 21, 2026.** National Weather Service observations recorded a minimum of 75°F at DFW, consistent with model consensus showing limited radiational cooling under mostly clear skies, light winds, and high humidity from an entrenched warm air mass. September’s record heat—already featuring multiple 100°F+ days—maintained above-normal temperatures, with climatological normals around 67°F but recent conditions 8–11°F warmer. The dominant 78–79°F market-implied odds reflect trader assessment of these stable atmospheric conditions and forecast guidance. A stronger cold front or unexpected clear, calm night could have enabled greater cooling and shifted the outcome lower, though no such development materialized.
