Sinja Kraus enters the second round of the Lexus Ilkley Open on grass holding the ranking edge at world No. 92 against Tatiana Prozorova’s No. 172. Kraus posted a straight-sets opening win over Linda Klimovicova and carries a stronger 2026 win-loss record alongside her career-high singles mark achieved earlier this month. Prozorova, who also advanced comfortably past Veronika Podrez, has posted consistent results on the ITF and Challenger circuit but faces a clear step up in opponent quality. Both players compete on a surface that rewards strong serving and quick court coverage, with no reported injuries or late withdrawals affecting either side. The matchup highlights Kraus’s higher baseline level and recent momentum against Prozorova’s improving trajectory on outdoor grass.
