Lulu Sun and Mary Stoiana meet in the Ilkley Trophy round of 16 on grass, where both players enter on recent form after straight-sets and three-set opening wins. Sun, the higher-ranked New Zealander with prior Wimbledon quarterfinal experience, holds a slight edge in the implied probability around 56 percent, reflecting her grass-court comfort and overall ranking. Stoiana, the American former college standout, carries momentum from a straight-sets victory over Sun in Birmingham earlier this month and strong recent results on the surface. The matchup features similar aggressive baselines and solid serving, making surface adaptation and second-set execution key variables in this closely contested encounter.
