Juan Pablo Ficovich and Nicolas Mejia meet in the early rounds of the Dublin Challenger on grass, with Mejia holding the edge as the higher-ranked player at approximately No. 167-169 compared to Ficovich’s position near No. 200-203. Mejia reached the semifinals at the Morelia Challenger in March and carries recent momentum on the Challenger circuit, while both players have limited grass-court experience ahead of Wimbledon qualifying. Ficovich leads their head-to-head 3-1 from prior encounters, though those matches occurred several years ago on clay or hard courts. The fast grass surface at Elm Park favors strong serving and quick points, potentially amplifying any serve or movement advantages in what shapes up as a competitive matchup between two South American baseline-oriented competitors.
