Billy Harris holds a slight edge over Dane Sweeny on the grass courts of the Ilkley Challenger, where both players meet for the first time. Harris, a British player ranked near 150 with a career high of 101, benefits from home-crowd support and recent grass-court exposure in the Birmingham Challenger. Sweeny, an Australian ranked around 132 with a career-high of 131, advanced past Oliver Okonkwo but has limited recent grass results after hard-court and clay qualifying appearances. The fast surface typically rewards strong serving and quick adaptation, factors that could narrow the competitive gap in a closely contested second-round matchup.
