Multiple Liga Nacional clubs remain tightly bunched in the race for 2026 runner-up because the league’s top sides continue to display comparable form and squad depth early in the campaign. Municipal, Comunicaciones, Guastatoya, Xelajú MC, and Mixco have each posted strong recent results in the Clausura, with standings reflecting narrow gaps in points, goal difference, and head-to-head records. Traditional powerhouses benefit from playoff experience and depth, while emerging sides like Mixco and San Pedro have shown improved consistency and home strength. No dominant team has pulled away, and roster stability plus favorable schedule spots keep several realistic contenders in contention for second place behind the eventual champion. Traders’ near-even pricing mirrors this ongoing parity across the 12-team field.
