In the upper half, she faces #6 Kate Fahey in the semifinals, where Waters holds a perfect 5-0 head-to-head record. The lower half features #2 Kaitlyn Christian against #3 Brooke Buckner, with the winner advancing to meet Waters. Recent developments include several top doubles players skipping the event, creating a more open field below the top seeds, while Waters’ consistent recent form and ranking points advantage reinforce her position as the market leader. Upset potential remains limited but exists for players like Fahey or Buckner if they capitalize on any rare lapses in Waters’ play.
