The Croatian HNL runner-up market remains tightly bunched because pre-season uncertainty and balanced squad profiles leave multiple teams with realistic paths to second place behind dominant title favorite Dinamo Zagreb. Hajduk Split and Rijeka sit as traditional challengers with strong historical records in the race for European qualification, yet recent transfer outflows from bigger clubs and squad reinforcements at Varaždin, Osijek, and Lokomotiva have narrowed perceived gaps in depth and form. No team has pulled clear through early friendlies or key signings, while the league's typical pattern of mid-season swings and head-to-head volatility keeps implied probabilities clustered near even across the field. Traders reflect this competitive parity in pricing, with roster health and opening-month results likely to create the first meaningful separation.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Croatian HNL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Croatian HNL (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Croatian HNL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
