This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the 2026 Alaska gubernatorial election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026. If the results of the election are not confirmed by July 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in Alaska for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on official certification.Recent polling from late April has positioned Democrat Tom Begich as the frontrunner in Alaska’s open 2026 gubernatorial race, driving his 38% market share ahead of Republican Bernadette Wilson at 24.5%. A nonpartisan top-four primary on August 18 and ranked-choice voting in the general election favor Begich’s broader appeal, as shown in simulations where he reaches 54% against Wilson. The crowded Republican field—including Treg Taylor, Click Bishop, Nancy Dahlstrom, and David Bronson—fragments support and sustains vote-splitting. Fundraising reports confirm Begich’s strong early hauls from Alaskan donors, while Mary Peltola’s Senate bid cleared the Democratic lane. These factors shape trader consensus on advancement and general-election viability.
