Nominees for the 2026 CMA Vocal Group of the Year were announced September 10, creating a tightly contested field among Lady A, Little Big Town, Midland, Old Dominion, and The Red Clay Strays ahead of the November 18 ceremony. Trader sentiment shows Old Dominion holding the edge at 35% implied probability, reflecting its record of seven prior consecutive wins and ongoing touring activity, while Midland sits at 25.5% on consistent radio presence. Newer contenders like The Red Clay Strays at 15% benefit from recent album momentum and last year’s momentum, with Lady A and Little Big Town trailing amid established but less dominant recent campaigns. The even spread underscores uncertainty typical in group categories, where voter preferences can shift with late-year releases or live performances before final ballots close.
