James Wade enters this New Zealand Darts Masters first-round clash as the heavy favorite, reflecting his status as PDC world number six with multiple major titles and consistent scoring averages above 94 in 2026 events. Recent performances, including early Players Championship wins, a UK Open final appearance, and a deep World Matchplay run, underscore his finishing reliability and composure under pressure. Kayden Milne, a WDF-ranked New Zealand competitor with regional titles but limited elite PDC exposure, faces a steep step up in class against Wade’s experience in televised formats. The absence of prior head-to-head data and Milne’s domestic-level record further support trader consensus around the veteran’s dominance.
