J. Cole’s “The Fall-Off,” released in February 2026 and positioned as his final album, has driven the strongest early trader consensus for the 2027 Grammy Best Rap Album category through its double-album scope, features, and swan-song narrative. Drake’s “Iceman,” which arrived alongside two surprise projects in May, trails as the next most backed option, reflecting sustained commercial interest but less unified critical momentum. A$AP Rocky’s “Don’t Be Dumb,” Don Toliver’s “Octane,” and Ye’s “Bully” occupy lower implied probabilities amid varying rollout timelines and reception. With nominations still months away, the closely matched field hinges on streaming performance, precursor awards, and late-year releases that could shift guild and academy sentiment before voting closes.
