This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus pins Yordan Alvarez and Shohei Ohtani near even at 19-20% implied probabilities for the Outstanding Designated Hitter Award, with Kyle Schwarber close at 14.5%, reflecting their elite early-season production amid a deep DH field. Schwarber's MLB-leading 17 home runs, including a six-homer barrage over five games last week, have vaulted his .963 OPS despite a .226 batting average, fueling Phillies momentum. Alvarez tops DHs in 1.029 OPS and .309 average with 13 homers across 44 games, while Ohtani posts a solid .817 OPS and 7 homers as the pedigree favorite. The tight clustering highlights 40-game volatility, injury risks for power bats like Alvarez, and contributions from Rooker, Carpenter, and Yelich keeping the race fluid over the 162-game grind.
