Several MLS clubs maintain comparable defensive records through the summer stretch of the 2026 regular season, with Los Angeles FC holding a slim edge at 11 clean sheets while Houston Dynamo, Nashville SC, and Vancouver Whitecaps sit at 8-9. Strong goalkeeping from players like Hugo Lloris and consistent backline organization across multiple rosters have prevented any single side from pulling away decisively. Remaining fixtures, potential rotation for playoff positioning, and typical league-wide parity in goal prevention continue to support a broad field of realistic contenders for the season-long lead.
