This market will resolve to “Yes” if the Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS announce a relocation of the team’s home games to a permanent location outside of the Vancouver metropolitan area by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying announcement will immediately result in a “Yes” resolution for this market, regardless of when the relocation is set to take place. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the MLS and/or the Vancouver Whitecaps; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Ongoing stadium negotiations at BC Place create balance in the Vancouver Whitecaps relocation market, with the club exploring purchase or long-term management deals that could generate needed commercial revenue and keep the team in Vancouver through at least 2027. MLS owners previously discussed relocation options including Las Vegas amid stalled local ownership interest and BC Place limitations, yet recent provincial openness to stadium control and continued stakeholder talks with government and First Nations have sustained in-market momentum.
