Traders have priced the field tightly, with Keith Riel (incumbent councillor with labour and business experience) at 29.5%, Neil Morton (local entrepreneur) at 27.5%, Michael Eamon (university administrator) at 23%, and Rebecca Schillemat at 17.5%, reflecting limited polling data, comparable name recognition, and no dominant frontrunner. The remaining candidates trail at low single digits. This distribution captures the fragmented voter base and absence of clear differentiation on core municipal issues such as housing affordability, economic development, transit expansion, and public safety services. With voting scheduled for October 26—including advance and online options—candidate forums, platform releases, or endorsements over the next two months could consolidate support and create separation among the contenders.
