The 2026 NFL sacks race sits tightly bunched early in the season, with trader consensus pricing a deep group of edge rushers as near co-favorites due to comparable pass-rush production, supporting casts, and defensive schemes. Myles Garrett enters as the defending single-season record holder after his 2025 mark but now benefits from the Rams' loaded front, while Aidan Hutchinson opened with two sacks in Week 1 and continues strong pressure rates on a high-volume Lions defense. Will Anderson Jr. pairs with Danielle Hunter in Houston for favorable matchups, and veterans like T.J. Watt and Maxx Crosby maintain elite win rates. Recent ACL recoveries, trades, and schedule strength keep outcomes fluid, as no single player has separated after limited games.
