Both the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the 2026 season with comparable projected win totals around eight games and similar rosters in a weak NFC South division. The Falcons face notable quarterback uncertainty with Michael Penix Jr. recovering from injury, Tua Tagovailoa limited, and Cooper Rush under center early, while relying on Bijan Robinson and an improved offensive line under new coach Kevin Stefanski. The Buccaneers feature Baker Mayfield’s experience alongside Bucky Irving but dealt with late-2025 collapses and defensive adjustments. Their two scheduled matchups—one in Tampa during Week 8 and the return game later—position a split as the most probable outcome per trader consensus, reflecting evenly matched teams where home-field edges and minor injuries could easily produce one win apiece. Early 0-1 starts for both sides have not yet shifted this balanced outlook.
