This market will resolve to “Yes” if the NFL announces and holds an officially designated supplemental draft in 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. If the NFL announces a supplemental draft, but the draft does not take place by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NFL's discretionary authority under the collective bargaining agreement to forgo a supplemental draft when no qualifying prospects emerge has anchored trader views near even odds. With no event held since 2023 and the most recent selection occurring in 2019, the June 2026 decision to skip the process—driven by eligibility reviews for players like quarterback Brendan Sorsby—reinforces the "no" lean while leaving room for rare late-cycle adjustments. Historical patterns show the league activates the draft only for verified cases involving missed regular-draft deadlines or NCAA issues, creating competitive balance as traders weigh the slim possibility of an overlooked prospect or policy shift against the established trend of inactivity. Recent form in roster-building and draft cycles further supports limited upside for a 2026 event.
