Idaho's non-binding advisory question on the November 2026 ballot asks voters to select one official state gun from six historic firearms, including the Winchester Model 1894, Winchester Model 1873, Colt Peacemaker, M1 Garand, Colt M1911, and Remington Model 700. The closely matched market prices reflect the absence of polling data, organized campaigns, or clear frontrunners three months before the vote. Idaho's strong firearms culture and emphasis on Western and military heritage create balanced appeal across lever-action rifles, revolvers, and service arms favored by different voter segments. The measure originated from House Bill 932 passed earlier in 2026, with the option list potentially subject to legislative adjustment. Low public visibility and the advisory status further sustain even trader consensus ahead of any late developments that could shift preferences.
