This market will resolve according to the next UFC fighter to be ranked 1st in the UFC Pound-For-Pound rankings, following Islam Makhachev. If Islam Makhachev remains #1 in the UFC Pound-For-Pound rankings through December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no next UFC fighter to be ranked 1st in the Pound-For-Pound rankings within this timeframe, this market will resolve to “Islam/No Next #1 in 2026”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Trader consensus favors Ilia Topuria at 62.5% implied probability to claim UFC pound-for-pound #1 status in 2026, propelled by his lightweight title reign and devastating KO victories over Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira, positioning him as the top contender directly behind current king Islam Makhachev following the May 12 rankings update after UFC 328. Volkanovski's 46.6% odds stem from his featherweight title defense via five-round decision over Diego Lopes at UFC 325 and subsequent rise to #3 P4P amid a strong comeback trail. Makhachev's entrenchment as welterweight champion—fresh off UD win against Jack Della Maddalena and sub over Renato Moicano—bolsters the 43% Islam/None outcome, underscoring his unbeaten streak against elite competition while highlighting the crowded path atop the rankings.
