The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Islam Makhachev's position as the clear consensus leader stems from his status as a two-division UFC champion, including a recent welterweight title win and multiple lightweight defenses that extended his win streak into historic territory. Official rankings have placed him at No. 1 for hundreds of combined days, reflecting consistent dominance across weight classes against elite competition. Traders price in his track record of finishing or outpointing top contenders, bolstered by recent activity through mid-2026. Challenges could still emerge from a significant injury, an unexpected loss in a welterweight defense or move back to lightweight, or rapid ascent by undefeated prospects like Ilia Topuria or Arman Tsarukyan if Makhachev's activity slows or form dips.
