This market will resolve to "Yes" if a Western team beats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. Only best-of-five series count toward this market; best-of-one and best-of-three matches, tiebreakers, and showmatches do not count. A team beats another team in a best-of-five series only if it wins the series (three game wins); individual game wins within a series that the team loses do not count. Play-In Stage series count toward this market, as do Knockout Stage series. If the results of Worlds 2026 are not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**Western teams, particularly G2 Esports and other LEC/LCS representatives, enter Worlds 2026 with stronger recent international showings and domestic dominance that support the high implied probability of at least one Bo5 victory over LCK, LPL, or LCP sides.** G2 completed a clean sweep of the 2026 LEC season, claiming a record 20th title with a 3-0 Summer Finals win over Movistar KOI, while LCS squads like Cloud9 and Team Liquid secured qualification amid competitive playoffs. LCK representatives (Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports—the MSI 2026 champions—T1, Dplus KIA) and LPL teams (Anyone’s Legend, Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, Invictus Gaming) remain the overall favorites per global power rankings, yet prior events such as the 2026 Esports World Cup demonstrated Western teams forcing competitive series and occasional upsets against Eastern opponents. The Swiss-stage format and best-of-five structure increase variance and opportunities for LEC or LCS sides to capitalize on form, macro execution, or favorable matchups, especially as the gap has narrowed in recent international play. Roster stability across major Western organizations and the absence of major reported disruptions further underpin trader consensus around an 88% chance of at least one such result occurring during the October-November tournament.
