**Trader consensus on the Argentina official USD exchange rate at end-2026 centers on gradual depreciation under the Milei administration’s managed float.** With the rate near 1,512 ARS per USD in mid-September 2026—up modestly from 1,450 at the start of the year—market-implied probabilities favor outcomes below 1,700, reflecting expectations of continued crawling-peg adjustments tied to inflation. Recent government budget projections and analyst surveys (REM, FocusEconomics) point to roughly 1,630–1,645 by December, supported by fiscal surpluses, declining inflation toward 25–30% y/y, and export strength in energy and mining. The BCRA’s policy framework, IMF engagement, and absence of acute reserve pressures reinforce the measured pace, though any acceleration in monthly inflation or shifts in monetary settings could influence the final level.
