Sebastian Baez holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for his ATP Challenger Valencia clay-court clash with Pablo Carreno Busta, buoyed by his No. 65 ranking, superior recent clay form, and a straight-sets win over Carreno Busta last August in Winston-Salem. Both advanced convincingly in the round of 32 yesterday—Baez defeating Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 6-2, and the Spaniard ousting Francisco Comesana 6-4, 6-3—showcasing baseline resilience on the slow outdoor clay that suits Baez's grinding style. Carreno Busta benefits from home support and a 2-1 career head-to-head lead prior to Baez's latest victory, though his ongoing recovery from elbow and leg injuries tempers expectations amid no reported late withdrawals.
