Benjamin Bonzi, ranked No. 104 with a career-high of 42 and solid 58% clay win rate, holds the experience edge over 18-year-old qualifier Diego Dedura-Palomero (No. 258, career-high this month) in this ATP Masters 1000 Madrid qualifying final on high-altitude outdoor clay. Both advanced yesterday via straight-sets Q1 wins—Dedura-Palomero upsetting higher-ranked Luca Van Assche, Bonzi defeating wildcard Darwin Blanch—building momentum into the decider for main draw entry. No head-to-head history exists. Bonzi's recent qualifying losses at Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte-Carlo highlight form concerns, while Dedura-Palomero's left-handed spin and youth offer upset potential amid Madrid's fast-bouncing conditions.
