In the ATP Challenger Gwangju quarterfinals on outdoor hardcourt, No. 129 Leandro Riedi commands trader consensus as favorite over No. 230 James McCabe, fueled by his eight-match win streak—including the recent Busan Challenger title and straight-sets 6-3, 6-2 rout of Mikhail Kukushkin in the round of 16. McCabe scraped through a grueling 6-7(6), 6-1, 7-6(8) thriller against higher-ranked Dane Sweeny, saving three match points to highlight his fighting spirit. No head-to-head exists, but Riedi's tournament-leading 82% first-serve points won edges McCabe's 47% break-point conversion rate; both hold solid 2026 hardcourt records (Riedi 9-5, McCabe 9-6), with no reported injuries or withdrawals shaping the closely watched matchup.
