In the BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux Challenger round of 16 on clay, fourth seed Botic van de Zandschulp (#54) enters with a decided edge over Frenchman Quentin Halys (#93), leading their head-to-head 2-0—including a dominant 6-1, 6-2 first-round win here in 2024. Van de Zandschulp boasts stronger 2026 clay form at 6-2 recently, advancing past a qualifier in the opener after solid showings in Rome and Munich, while Halys qualified with a straight-sets victory over Sho Shimabukuro. Halys benefits from home-crowd support and solid baseline play, but trader consensus reflects van de Zandschulp's superior rankings, surface record (51.7% ATP clay wins), and matchup history amid no reported injuries.
