If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by Colombia's National Civil Registry (Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil) (https://registraduria.gov.co).Recent polling shows Iván Cepeda leading with 37-44 percent but falling short of a first-round majority, positioning the leftist candidate to advance while creating a competitive race for second place. Abelardo de la Espriella has gained ground among conservative voters through his independent platform emphasizing strict security measures, outpacing Paloma Valencia in recent surveys and driving trader consensus toward their pairing at 67.5 percent. Valencia, the Democratic Center nominee, trails amid fragmented right-wing support and tactical voting dynamics ahead of the May 31 vote. No candidate has secured an outright win path, keeping the runoff pairing fluid until certified results on June 1.
