In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a minimum temperature in New York City on September 9 near 67–70°F, driven by mild southwesterly flow ahead of a weak frontal system. Overnight lows from September 8–9 are expected in the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies with light winds, while daytime readings climb into the mid-to-upper 80s. This aligns with climatological norms for early September, when average minima hover near 65°F, though current guidance shows slightly warmer conditions due to limited cool-air advection. Traders appear to weight the 70–71°F bin most heavily based on the latest model runs, with limited risk of sharper cooling unless unexpected northerly shifts develop before resolution.
