Strong early presales for Avengers: Doomsday are driving the 85.5% market-implied probability that Dunesday will surpass Barbenheimer’s opening-weekend benchmarks. Industry tracking shows Doomsday roughly 65% ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s initial pace after just days of sales, with projections pointing to a potential $300–400 million domestic debut fueled by Marvel’s global fanbase, premium large-format demand including Infinity Vision screens, and holiday timing. Dune: Part Three is also generating solid IMAX 70mm sellouts, but analysts expect Doomsday to claim the larger share. While split audiences and competition introduce some risk of a moderated result, the combination of franchise momentum and early data has created broad trader consensus for a record-setting weekend.
