Chun-Hsin Tseng enters this Bratislava Challenger second-round clash as the clear favorite, holding a substantial ranking edge over 18-year-old Czech Maxim Mrva on clay. Tseng, seeded eighth and ranked near 180-245, advanced comfortably in the opener with a 7-6(8), 6-1 win, while Mrva, currently ranked 312 after a career-high of 271 earlier this year, secured his spot via a 7-6(3), 6-4 victory. The Taiwanese player brings greater experience and consistency against higher-level competition, though Mrva’s recent junior success, including a 2024 US Open boys’ doubles title, and home-region familiarity on the surface could provide momentum in what remains an early-round encounter.
