Recent forecast model consensus from agencies including the Met Office and regional ensembles points to a high of 20–21 °C in Amsterdam on September 19, driven by persistent southwesterly flow, extensive cloud cover, and moderate winds that suppress daytime warming while keeping conditions above seasonal norms. Current observations through September 18 show highs near 19 °C under similar regimes, with no strong signals for significant deviation. This data underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward 21 °C (65.5 %) and 20 °C (26.5 %), reflecting traders’ assessment of the narrow range typical for late-summer North Sea influence. Final resolution will hinge on the official KNMI maximum recorded at the Amsterdam station, with limited upside risk from unexpected clearing.
