Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Chicago on September 13 indicate a high near 71–73°F under increasing clouds with a 40% chance of showers after midday and northwest winds gusting to 20 mph. This cooler regime follows today’s warmer southerly flow, as a frontal passage shifts winds northerly and limits afternoon heating. Model consensus supports modest daytime maxima in the low 70s, consistent with historical September averages around 77°F but tempered by reduced insolation and moisture. Trader positioning favoring 74–75°F as the top bin reflects slight upside bias in ensemble guidance, while lower bins capture the potential for greater cloud cover or earlier precipitation to cap temperatures. Updated NWS point forecasts and hourly observations through early afternoon will provide the key data ahead of market resolution.
