Recent National Weather Service and local model consensus points to mostly cloudy skies over Denver on September 16, moderating daytime heating and anchoring trader sentiment around the 80–83°F bins. Afternoon temperatures are projected in the low-to-mid 80s under increasing cloud cover and a modest chance of light showers, which would cap peak readings several degrees below the long-term average high of 79°F while still allowing brief sunbreaks to push into the low 80s. Ensemble spreads highlight uncertainty in exact cloud thickness and timing of any convection, keeping 84–85°F competitive but lower-probability. Official resolution will rely on the highest hourly observation at the primary Denver reporting station, with the next model update cycle expected to refine the cloud and moisture forecast before market close.
