Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Denver points to scattered thunderstorms on September 18 amid a moderating airmass, with forecast overnight lows clustered near 54–58°F. Cloud cover and precipitation reduce radiational cooling compared to clear conditions, while southwesterly flow and residual warmth from an unusually mild September keep minimums above the 1991–2020 average of 48.6°F. Trader consensus across the tightly bunched 54–61°F bins reflects model spread in exact timing and intensity of overnight showers, which can shift the low by several degrees depending on when clearing occurs. Updated NHC and local model runs ahead of the 48-hour window will likely narrow the range before resolution.
