Peggy Flanagan holds the strongest position in trader consensus for the Hennepin County portion of Minnesota’s August 11 Democratic U.S. Senate primary, reflecting her recent statewide DFL endorsement, support from retiring Sen. Tina Smith, and polling leads of roughly 7 points over Rep. Angie Craig. The race pits Flanagan’s progressive record against Craig’s more moderate profile, with endorsements splitting along ideological lines and outside spending targeting Flanagan. Hennepin’s urban, progressive electorate favors Flanagan’s local visibility and base mobilization in the final days. Minor candidates and “other” options remain at low implied probabilities, while Craig’s statewide fundraising edge has not translated into comparable support in this county. Late shifts in turnout or last-minute endorsements could still alter narrow margins before polls close.
