Germany enters Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the clear frontrunner, backed by four prior titles, a deep squad featuring attacking talents like Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala, and strong recent qualifying results. Ecuador and Ivory Coast sit behind as the primary contenders for second place, with Ecuador holding a slight edge due to its organized defensive setup and higher FIFA ranking, while Ivory Coast brings physicality and recent African Cup of Nations pedigree. Curaçao, making its debut, faces the steepest challenge against far more experienced opposition. The opening matches—Germany versus Curaçao and Ivory Coast versus Ecuador on June 14—along with the June 20 clashes will shape early momentum in a group where the top two advance automatically. Trader consensus aligns with Germany's historical edge and superior roster depth.
